I don't see any reason why not. He'll get the game time he's been wanting, and will be in line for a place in the World Cup squad for Spain.

He'll be loved by the fans, and will improve the team.

While he doesn't fit into United's typical system, I think Moyes will adapt a new approach and possibly build the team around him after the Summer.

He needed to play, especially with the world cup coming this year.

I don't think he'll be there long anyway, if United fail to get top 4 he'll be off.

Don't talk rubbish, he signed a four and a half year deal, he'll be there for at least three. Even if United don't qualify for the CL this season, he's not going to just leave after joining, and even if he wanted to, I'm 99% sure United wouldn't let him leave.

United are rebuilding, and I think Mata is vital to that. They will most likely as I said build the team around him.

Personally thought he should have waited till the summer where he could of joined someone better.

..But looking at it from his point of view, He wanted game-time and joining a side where he has no competition in his position he's bound to get that.

If they don't get champions league football, and a team like PSG come in for him, he'll be off.

It's gonna take a lot of "rebuilding" to get United back to title contenders. They have 4 good players.

If he waited to the summer to move to a better side then he wouldnt have a chance to play in the WC for spain because he wouldnt of got the game time needed. Its a good move for him and us.

If they offered a ridiculous amount like 60-70 million then obviously there's a chance, but you're deluded if you think he'll go if United fail to qualify.

Four good players? Ahh... If you're going to talk football, leave club rival bias at the door, otherwise your argument or points look stupid.

I'm not biased at all. De Gea, Rooney, Mata and Van Persie. 4 world class players, the rest are past it or crap.

I find it quite hard to disagree with this, couple years back would have included Vidic but he is past it. No world class defenders at United. Although if they played Jones there they may learn a thing or two about him. Glad to see United struggling. Wont be turning it round anytime soon:)
