Hey guys. Ive been wanting to learn GFX and how to make logos.
Im only able to do logos when I watch tutorials on how to make a certain one. I need help, im stuck. How did you guys get better and learn it? I know practice, but like, how do you do speed art/backgrounds/logos etc.. without watching a tutorial and copying theirs?
How do you come up with your own? GFX interest me alot. I want to get better. Help please

I would be careful where you use the term GFX...I have seen people get ridiculed for that.

Lets take this in steps.
Learn illustrator
Learn to sketch
Watch tutorials (i know you said you dont want to copy but its the only way you will pick up techniques.
I would google some sketches and then put them in illustrator and trace them, repeatedly
Once you can do pen tool and lines try colouring it in
Speed art is for when you can actually use the program, there are too many below par ones.
I am far from good but I listen when people give me opinions and tips

Thanks bro.
What I meant by GFX is designing backgrounds and making logos for people.
I use photoshop and when I want to go make something I get lost, like I dont know where to start. Ive been watching a lot of tutorials on how to do create logos and when I complete it and go to create my "own" I dont know where/how to start.

Not knowing where to start is the hardest bit.
Think how you want it to end, look at the parts in that final image, now start putting them together bit by bit

You just have to keep practicing and keep trying new things. Once you learn the basics of photoshop, you will be able to create more advanced logos and such.

- Learn Photoshop thoroughly.
- Download a good speed art video, slow it down, and then watch the slowed down version to learn more techniques and tricks.
- Watch tutorials on Youtube. They help alot and that's how a LOT of people get started.
- Be Creative.
