Okay if i buy a iphone off of cragislist and say I brought it for T-Mobile but wanted to use it for AT&T, but then then the ime number has like a 2 year contract? Does that mean I wont be able to use the phone untill its payed off? I dont get why the ime number matters? Csn someone please help me?

This shouldn't matter since the contract/number is linked with the SIM card. You'll then need to bring your iphone to AT&T and they'll pop a brand new SIM card in or your old one (if you had an iphone before)

Correct me if I'm wrong.

*You could always call AT&T and ask, I'm sure they'll be glad to help.

Okay so the iphone doesnt have to be factory unlock?? Just go to AT&T and get a new sim card? Because the iphone is for T-Mobile?

Yes you're right, it needs to be factory unlocked. But in no way you should be paying off his phone from the contract (I would assume)

You could ask what's the fee on the unlock. Sometimes they'll do it for free/really small fee

Yes you're right, it needs to be factory unlocked. But in no way you should be paying off his phone from the contract (I would assume)

alright then for sure! I will ask amd okay no fee should be left to pay? And blacklisted?
