I just got minecraft and my friend and I want to play survival. We don't want to play with a bunch of other people, just me and him and a couple other friends. So i assume we need to make our own server an order to do this. Can someone please explain on how to make a server.

Google it buddy. Too long to type out. Best bet is to buy the server from a trusted website.

I actually just made a video to help someone else on TTG get a server up and running, hopefully you will find this very useful.
