Flashing a DVD drive could work.
Except the problem is... Blue ray.
I don't think there ever was a firmware to flash a Blue ray drive.

Cause 360 never had one.

I mean like. JTAGG'in a xbox is a whole new thing.

While flashing a DVD drive is something completely separate that we (Modders) need.

Flashing a DVD drive is always easier than RGH'in or JTAGGING your one.

Flashing is not currently possible on blue ray , a possibility that xbox one could have in future would be an ODE drive I mean correct me if I'm wrong guys been a while since going back to the drawing board and researching but ... A modified firmware, if possible, should hopefully create more opportunities to find exploits on the Xbox One. Currently it seems pretty secure but with complex systems like the one on the Xbox One, there's almost always room for a possible exploit to sneak in.

You're pretty optimistic.. I'd give it a year if you're very lucky. If I remember correctly the first jtagged console announced was in 2007, and RGH was very recent only coming about in late 2010 early 2011 I think? There was the KK exploit which was first exploit found was announced about a year after the 360 launched.

Actually the first mod was drive firmware to play backups and that appeared within months of the 360's release.

TTG_JAMBO wrote Flashing is not currently possible on blue ray.

But Xbox one still uses Liteon drives, lets not forget that the initial price of Dual layers prior to the 360s cfw was high but has dramatically dropped as a result of the inundated demand for the discs. Its the game image sizes that concern me,although alot of it is packing data it still has to be included in burning to avoid online detection etc.The first CFW release will be primitive and you would be a fool to trust in it online. Can you imagine having a banned Xbox One,now thats painful justice!
Although i hate ODD's personally,i do believe this is the route that hacking companies will take,yes...COMPANIES! The days of hacks from individuals is over.I think its a race to who will release the first ODD.Unfortunately its become about money but thats not all negative,at least you can be assured that the work will be done in a professional manner. However much i hate Xecuters money grabbing attitude i have to admit we would be screwed for hacks on 360 if it wasnt for there hard work.

Chances are it will quicker than the 360, people are working on it, I'm keeping my eye out for it, but could also be bugs/glitches at first like the 360 jtags did.

I wouldn't buy it unless it would be cheaper than the
Xbox one itself, ive already got an Xbox One no need for two.
