I have tried wired. How do I do a factory restore? I cant do the usb method because i have OSX and no usb

Seems like your connection is the problem, I'd try it wired into your home internet. No wifi, no hotspot, no bridged connection.

The day one update and all the title updates are allot bigger than the 360, so beware

Microsoft has decided to remove this

I believe you go to settings, system and there should be System Restore/Restore to factory
