One thing PS4 fan boys/girls can say to xbox fan boys/girls is that they dont ban people for swearing, haha its a joke and tbh, my videos that i upload consist of me to be funny by raging, and if you get banned for swearing, its a waste of money at the end of the day, i can see what microsoft are trying to do but, come on if you play a 16-18 rated game, you should be alowed to swear, but as the cod fan base is mostly 10 year olds, they want it to change. Okay so if you like my rage at being banned feel free to send this to microsoft as they will be happy for you im 16 btw

To be fair, they are only banning for the swearing used in that Upload app (which for some reason affects Skype, too.) Makes perfect sense why they would suspend and ban for that. Player online interactions are meant to be rated E. They treat their public apps the same way. I personally like that. I like listening to people at times, but there is no need for foul language (at least, not in excess.) You can say freedom of speech, but not everyone lives in America. Also, it is their product with their rules. If you use a recording device and swear, just as Rooster Teeth does, then you will be safe.

If I am wrong on anything I said, let me know. As far as I know, it is a win/win. People can still say what they please in private, and I don't have to put up with many trashy-mouthed people while using Xbox products.

It's very simple "don't swear" and don't say you have to.

They want to keep the system clean and so would I if it was my company TTG doesn't allow bad language and neither does any other company.

It hasn't just been from the upload app, you have to remember all voice communications are powered by Skype on the Xbone. I've seen people complaining about being banned for "inappropriate" language in game chats and there was a news article on here talking about a guy who got banned for his language in a private call Article

That just makes me think that since Skype is used for all communications, that is why it bans you from Skype when you abuse the Upload app. I mean, I have read that story and felt the same way. I also read this story and changed my mind: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Some thing TTG didn't add
Update: A Microsoft representative responded to our requests, explaining that the company does not monitor private Skype conversations  however, "excessive profanity" in Upload Studio videos will result in suspensions.

"To be clear, the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement team does not monitor direct peer-to-peer communications like Skype chats and calls," the representative wrote. "Also, we take Code of Conduct moderation via Upload Studio very seriously. We want a clean, safe and fun environment for all users. Excessive profanity as well as other Code of Conduct violations will be enforced upon and result in suspension of some or all privileges on Xbox Live. We remain committed to preserving and promoting a safe, secure and enjoyable experience for all of our Xbox Live members."

Anyway this is how a ban works. You get a temp ban for swearing on upload studio of course you won't be able to use skype, you are banned after all.
