Take this with a pinch of salt as im not 100% sure but I think the Xb1 controller uses bluetooth to connect with the xb1 but I think the xbox 360 uses something totally different so at a guess no it wont work.

See if it did work microsoft wouldnt make alot of money because you could just use your 360 controller instead of buying an xbox one controller

You're actually really close! The 360 controller sadly doesn't work with the Xbox One. The Xbox One controllers use "Wifi direct" to connect its controllers to the console. They did this instead of Bluetooth because it's so much faster than Bluetooth(which is how the 360 controllers worked). It's like 10x faster or something like that.

I really wish that the 360 controllers worked as I have 4 of them I hate having to buy new ones but if you haven't used one of the new ones, it's definitely worth the upgrade. They're extremely nice. My favorite improvement is the triggers, they're so smooth and the rumble feedback is awesome
