So 3 questions, Is this going to allow me to play on ultra/high on most games? Are the parts compatible? And will the parts fit in the case :s ?

If anyone has a better build for that budget then I'd happily look at it.

Its ok, I'd suggest you buy this cpu cooler instead its better and cheaper. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

New Build with new cpu's and a better motherboard. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Right, I'll be ordering that soon. Thanks.

Wait, the unlocked i5 and h87 board makes little sense, if you plan to overclock you'll want to buy a z87 board.

Buy the 4670 if you plan on sticking with your current board.

Since this build is strictly gaming ONLY, this is what I would buy:

You will be able to overclock that RAM to 2133 MHz no problem, as it's 1.35V @ 1600 MHz.

CPU is probably about perfect balance between performance and cost - no point spending extra on anything else at the moment, especially with Mantle around the corner.

I could have gone with an MSI 280x, but from what I've seen on forums people are having bad VRM issues, causing throttling. I would avoid until MSI find a fix.

It's an awesome build, with a quality 550W PSU which is plenty for this system, and some really nice components.

You my friend understand the importance of an SSD. First person to consider one in the build.

I will whip up my own take on this build now and post my results.

I don't personally benefit from it, as it doesn't make a difference to me - my computer stays on 24/7 anyway. Bootups and programme start ups don't do anything because they stay open.

I've changed the case and added a cpu cooler, will it still be fine?

I have viewed the other links and my computer will also stay on 80% of the time so I doubt it would affect me if I didn't buy an SSD.
