I know that this is a pretty straight forward question, but I haven't really seen anyone post about it.
I'm curious, have any of you been banned yet on Ghosts for accidentally / intentionally joining a modded lobby? ( And modding your rank / etc. )
Reason I ask is because my friend joined a Domination game on matchmaking, got a kill, and instantly ranked to 60.
He dashboarded immediately, but his rank stuck.
He hasn't been banned yet, but he's still worried about the possibility of getting banned.
If not, I hope Ghosts doesn't become over saturated with 10th prestiges like Modern Warfare 2 did.
( On top of that, I got into a game with someone else that had infections, but it didn't rank me to 60. )

IDK man am worried about that to.I originally wanted to get into a lobby like 3 hours ago and I decided not to from a warning from one of the members but I ended up joining one by accident the same way your friend did.Luckily I only went up one prestige and it didn't affect my leaderboards.
BTW I heard infinity ward isn't banning at least not the users who went up by a little bit due to people joining by accident.

Everyone has been saying it around mainly every important gaming forum.Plus you know infinity ward is a bit more lenient on the whole prestige mods then Treyarch,anyways I don't think your friend should be too worried as long as he didn't go up to like 5th prestige and has the same leaderboards.

I suppose that's true, pretty much no one got banned on Modern Warfare 2.
I don't even think "getting banned" was even a thing back then, honestly.
No one really feared it.
Though, they did crack down on it a little on MW3 so.
But true, I suppose if it wasn't intentional, and he didn't rejoin to get even further, then I'm sure he'll be fine. :b

It'll be difficult for them to ban the numerous amount of people who have already done it, but it's safe to assume that anyone else that does it in the future have more of a risk of getting banned.
