The CPU (Central Processing Unit) as it's practically the brain of a pc.

The motherboard, the case (If it counts), the CPU, the HDD and the RAM.

Why:

-Motherboard: Without it, the other components can't be supported and can't function.
-The Case: Without it, you couldn't house the delicate parts and have them function properly or perform well.
-The CPU: Without it, you would have half a computer. It is the brain of our computer and essentially like a human body, without it it would be dead and would not work.
-The HDD: Without it, you would not be able to store information on low and huge scales, thus forfeiting any type of extensive work.
-The RAM: Without it, the computer would be "without muscle" and would run at the lowest of standards and may not even function at all.

Also remember that hardware isn't the only part to a computer. You need the right software to be able to run things so I would suggest adding software/ and operating system to the list of important parts

Stupid question. All of the core components depend on each other.

No CPU: No numbers crunched, no function
No RAM: No instructions or data for the CPU, no function
No motherboard: No connection among components, no function
No power supply: No electricity, no function

No cooling: Can be passive, not necessary
No hard drive: You can write the OS to a RAM disk if you were so inclined, not necessary
No case: Table will do, not necessary
No GPU: GPUs are coprocessors, not necessary
