My modem gives out around [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but when i plug it back into my wireless router is giving me [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . Is this a sign that my router is going out?

Check the servers you tested on both times, as one may be farther then the other.

it goes from 3-5mbs or 3-1mbs. I dont know what could it be i used to get 9-14mbs in my room

Well.. .My ISP told me that having a wired connection increases your performance and speed, Plug it in to the wired if it is possible.

Gigabit Ethernet will always be faster than WiFi connections, as WiFi looses strength over distance.

I think my tv is interfering with the connection because my connection is better when its off

Edit: It has to be something with my laptop when i connect my ps3 it gives a 12 mb

well the tv bit confuses me , unless you have it connected to the router somehow. other than that every thing will bring your connection down but not by that much. i would contact your isp and get them round to have a look and if you are still not satisfied, keep going on as they will have to do something in the end

i fixed it i had to update my drivers i forgot i did it before i reset it
