hello,

About a year ago I bought a KINGSTON DATATRAVELER R3.0 16GB usb flash drive.
But yesterday when I put it in the pc at school it said "Removable Disk" and when I wanted to open it, it said "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk".
I tried using data recovery software already but without any succes.
So do you guys have any tips to try to get it to work?
Or am I screwed?

Try turning off your PC, plugging it in and then booting up Windows with it plugged in, and it should hopefully boot the drivers for it. If not, try using different USB ports on your PC, maybe even plug it directly into the motherboards USB ports.

Does it do the same on other computers or is it just on yours?

If you right click on the drive, does it give you the option to format it?

If not, you may have an Xbox 360 laying around, try plugging it into that to see if it recognizes it. And format it that way.

I have no idea, try asking on the Manufactures Website, they may have some manual drivers that you can install.

Try deleting it from the menu. Then re insert it and see what happens.

Disk Management in windows will allow you to see any storage media connected to the system, but if its not there, its possibly a hardware failure on the drive.
