I'm wondering if my power supply is compatible with my motherboard. I'm not sure the hooks ups are the same. I'm a little confused.
Here's my updated choice of motherboard

Here's my original choice of motherboard, but I decided to get another model because it doesn't support the RAM speed I picked out, and it's helping my budget. Really though, apart from my confusion on whether or not the power supply is compatible wit the other cheaper model, I can't tell a difference between the two as far as performance goes.

Yes it is compatible. I'd go with the Gigabyte board though, due to the VRM heatsink which will be better for overclocking.
I'm pretty sure if you want to achieve 2133MHz on that ASUS board you're going to have to overclock your RAM.

That board will run it at 1866 or whatever default. Even though it is 2133, it will run at 1866 for that board. It will support an overclock to 2133, which is the RAM's default speed.

So do you think it would be better to just keep my original choice of motherboard and just go with the 2133 RAM?
The motherboard would down clock it, right? Or maybe my PC just wouldn't turn on at all?

Both of the motherboards will downclock it. It will be fine.
