I'm only 16 years old and i play guitar. and Ive been tossing the idea around in my head for a while now. My only problem is the chances of making it are slim to none. now im not talking Avenged Sevenfold big, or like Pantera big. but big enough where people will know us. so i want your feed back. do you think its a good idea. and if so what time of music should i make. Metal, Heavy Metal, Classic rock, or just any type. let me now in the comment section bellow. Thank you and everyone have a wonderful night.

Being a successful band doesn't come easy. It will take a ton of hard work and detication.

If you think this is going to be an easy road, this isn't the path for you.

I would go for it though, if you are ready to take it on.

I always say to myself, that I am not going to let the fear of failure get in the way of my dreams. Those successful people are successful, because they took a chance.

Oh I know for sure its going to be a long road ahead. but i have the dedication to persevere over the fear of failure.but also I love your motto that's the truth right there. "Failure is not the end of the road, but is a stepping stone on the path of success."

Axe summed it up really well. There is some bands that take 10 years of work, and still get no where, or there's those bands that spend 2-3 years of work and get noticed and signed because they stand out. You need to stand out. A good example would be Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates. He stands out because he has an amazing style that is so amazing and so unused. Also, you need to make really good lyrics that stand out from other bands so people will actually want to listen to you guys and not another band which writes about the same thing, but is much bigger. They're obviously going to pick the other band. Another thing that really helps out is playing a really good live performance. At first when you first start out, there may only be 10 people there, but play your hearts out and put on a good show and maybe those 10 people will tell more and before you know it, you may have thousands of fans. Best of luck to you. . Remember this also if you ever get somewhere. It's not about the money or the fame, it's about doing what YOU love.
