i have a hp pavilion a705w with 4 ram slots and it will have windows 8 64bit how much ram can I put in?

But, the max will all be down to your specific motherboard, you can check online from your manufactures website.
The max anyone ever uses is 16GB, and every Motherboard with 4 RAM Slots supports 16GB.
