I build my PC a few month ago and it had no problems.. But recently it would just randomly shut off.. Now it shut off and will only turn on for less than a second.. does this mean my psu is dead? I have tried unplugging and plugging cables back in but it will only turn on for a split second. anyone got a solution?

Probably your PSU Is dead, Buy a new one and take the old one out and put in the new one, So yes, your computer may have overheated.
Hope I helped

I ended up testing that psu on a older system and it does seem to be dead.. Now I am just decided whether to use my warranty and wait for weeks or buy a new one lol

Where did you buy it from?

The manufacture should have an RMA service, meaning they have to send you a new one ASAP.

Hope I helped!

I bought it from NCIX.. I did look into sending it back but I have to pay ship it back to XFX, wait for it to get there then wait for a replacement. I already got my new one and will probably send the older one back and have it for a back up of sell it.

You better hope it didn't short any of your components, you never want to go cheap on a PSU.
