I recently just started building my first gaming pc, and encountered a problem.
I purchased a Western Digital Caviar Blue 500gb hard drive, and the computer detects it, but it won't let me install windows 7 64bit onto it. I don't know what the problem is, please help me out.

It won't let you install Windows 7 64bit onto it? Does it show up as a device to install Windows on to or not? If it's detected by your BIOS it's not a HDD problem for sure. Make sure your CPU is 64bit compatible, which it most likely is.

Like Gigahertz said, check the BIOS and you will be able to see the connected devices. If the device doesn't show up there, then check all the cables running to your drive.
