This isn't a blessing in disguise... nothing changes... and when it comes back to work, nothing will have changed.

I said "think", I did not say it was. And really how do you know. None of us know.

Well we all know that the government is losing a lot of money right now, so are 800 000 or so government employees.

Something that we all should know, when congress resumes, the Republicans will still be fighting against Obamacare.

RageGamerRyan wrote It is a big deal and it affects a lot of people. I was planning on getting married and bringing my wife back to the USA with me, now that won't be possible, it is going to be delayed and who knows for how long. Also what about all those elderly living off of their pensions? How will they live without the monthly help?

EDIT: Pensions will NOT be affected.
The last time the government shut down it only lasted for 2 Weeks.. And the issue is really not that big of a deal.

-LOST- wrote I think it's good that they're not agreeing on a deal fast. All this spending is getting out of control and it needs to be dealt with instead of sweeping it under the rug and just getting into more debt.
you understand that every minute its shut down we are going deeper into debt if this goes on for a week thats 10 billion$+ that we go into debt and since the national parks are shut down that is an estimated 40 million loss per day.... This isnt helping anything its hurting

My point is that you are blaming solely Obama for the United States debt, but according to you billions of lost dollars is nothing. I don't understand your reasoning.

And it's funny that you resort to name calling when you don't understand what the name means.

Last president that made our Government shutdown was Bill Clinton. And you know what happened to him? He got impeached. Obama better get impeachment.
