I recently had a birthday (Sept. 17th) and I got about $650 and I wondered if it would be better to wait a while and get an Xbox One, or act now and get a gaming PC and an Elgato? Or anything else I could buy that would be worth it?

A decent gaming PC will cost anywhere from 750-1200$ I would recommend saving it until you find something you REALLY want.

Honestly I would go for the built PC yourself because 600 won't get you a nice prebuilt PC for gaming. And for the elgato, if you're truly dedicated to youtube or making videos go for it.

I don't understand why people ask random people what they should buy with their money

depends on what type of gamer you are. if you like multiplayer type fps games den get xbox one. if you mainly play single player than your best bet is ps4. ps4 might, (MIGHT) have better graphics than xbox one. but if you play like league or world of warcraft or whatever, then build your own pc. the satisfaction of owning something you built from the ground up is amazing. im personally not pc gamer tho lol i like xbox . my comp is custom built tho. ps4 seems really really cool but titanfall and cloud servers got me sold on xbox one. good luck deciding on who to throw your money at lol
