My xbox 360 slim has been wokring fine for the past 2 months since i got it (used) and today i went to boot up the console and it was extremely slow wouldnt load the dash or let me sign in without freezing so i yanked out the HDD and that seems to have solved the issue. does anyone know if its a bad drive or bad files, also last night i left my console in background download mode when i went to bed, can this be fixed +Rep for whoever helps me fix it c:

This happened to me before... What you need to do the next time the Dashboard works with your Hard Drive in, you need to turn the 'Auto-Sign In' setting of any profile Off.

And if that doesn't work, try deleting the Console Update. (Videos are on YouTube, and this doesn't include 'Clearing System Cache'.)

Third thing is to leave your Xbox unplugged for a long while. (From the console itself and the outlet or power chord it's plugged into.)

These 3 things helped me get my slim to stop freezing at the Dashboard at the start-up.
