Hey guys, well basically I need an upgrade from my PC now to a computer built for the sole purpose of video editing. However, I will be doing occasional gaming every now and again so I would like one that's still going to keep my games running as smoothly as possible.

I wouldn't need a monitor because I have one that is VGA because it doesn't have a HDMI input.

If you guys could help me, that would be just fantastic.

I'm in America by the way.

All you will need is a SSD (Solid State Drive) it's a storage unit but has no moving parts, meaning if you record with DxTory or Fraps then it can quickly save the file at high quality 60FPS, I would recommend a Geforce GTX 680 for editing, it isn't over powered and will run games smoothly! For the CPU, anything above a quad core at 3.0 GHz is great! RAM? 8GB should be enough! All these should be within your price range, hope I helped!

Well he can down grade the GPU and get an SSD, but they are really not needed, plus he didn't say he will be recording. Plus if the sole purpose is editing the best choice would be to go with 16gb since software like that takes up a lot of RAM.

I have several Windows 7 Professional CDs at the moment so no, I will install that after the fact.

Then buy this one. It's the best for the budget if you need the i7 and extra RAM.

I just saved you $70, this is if you haven't chosen the other option.

Here this is much the same as BigWes's build but with a few different things.

Bigger SSD.
Better motherboard.
A little less.
