Ok, so I am turning 17 in 2 days now, and I decided it was time to stop buying awful laptops for gaming and save up for a gaming PC. Here's what I have at the moment.

So what I want to know:
1: What kind of graphics would I be expecting with a build like this?

2: What could be made better without exceeding a budget of $1500?
(Note: I want the most for what I am paying for)

3: Examples of graphics settings on specific games like Minecraft (with shaders mods), Arma 2, and Battlefield 3.

Another thing to note: I have been debating on weather a GTX 680 or 770 would be better for me. If anyone has a preference please let me know:D

Thanks everyone!

The gtx 770 is better and cheaper than the 680. And GPU Boost 2.0 is amazing (i own a 770). Stay with the 770, amazing card and is better than the 680. Also, in the future, if you need more power, get one more 770 and sli. 2 770's are better than a single TITAN and cheaper haha.

If you look at the benchmarks for the 680 and the 770 there quite even, sometime this 680 comes out on top and some times its the other way. In my opinion it would be up to you, maybe go for the cheaper of the two and use the extra money towards games for when you have your PC.

Great:) Thanks! I was hoping so. Now with games like Battlefield 3 and 4, would I be able to run mostly high and ultra settings?

You will be getting high fps on those games at max settings.

The gtx 770 is newer, I would stick with that, but I don't have first hand experience with the 680

You don't need a 1000watt psu, you should get like a 600 watt psu, maybe something with better reviews than the current psu.

Edit: If you are thinking about SLI in the future, may as well get a higher wattage psu now

Thanks for the info:) I am trying to future proof some of the important components so I don't need to "break the bank" later on

I was also thinking about an 850w psu with higher reviews.

If you're planning to keep the 770 for a while, make sure you pick up a 4GB 770. The next generation of games are going to be eating up more VRAM and you can already push past 2GB at near-max settings in some games.

For "future-proofing", you may want to consider the 1155 socket. but the performance difference between ivy bridge cpu's and the future gen broadwell cpu's may not be important to you, or necessarily significant.

If SSD isn't something you really need then you should cut the SSD and get better water cooling a H50 isn't nearly as good as an H80i and perhaps have a little left over to get a board that will have good overclocking features and heat sinks on the MOSFETS.

The reason I picked what I did there is because of the ratings compared to the price. I could probably be able to spend $100 more than I have set up but I am trying to save as much as I can while still getting a great value.
