Spar wrote The beginning of july I maxed 205. I set a goal of hitting 225 (2 plates) and just hit it today.

I'm a freshmen, I'm 14 and my body weight ranges from 150-160.

Time to start working to 250 by the end of August!

dont over due it and wreck your muscles... over work will eventually weaken you
i know, I don't overtrain. I make sure I get plenty of rest and I have a good workout schedule.

You can easily change that when you start to workout and train seriously!

Straight up, just start getting a schedule going and don't quit.
Stay dedicated and watch the improvement.

OT: Congratulations man, keep pushing yourself!
I'm impressed by your age and weight how much you lift.
Of curiosity, how much do you squat and what's your max for inclined military dumbell presses?
Squat - 315. That was my max out in April I believe, I haven't maxed out in a while but I've been training legs hard. I'm thinking about posting videos on what I do for some of the younger guys to get motavation. Sorry for the late response by the way!

No worries bro. And that's crazy for someone your age.
You play any sports, or is weightlifting your thing?
Boxing, Football, Martial Arts, Track, and basketball. I also consider weightlifting a sport.

Damn dude, you could probably drop me haha.
Do you do stairs often? Just curious because you said something about leg strength.

I run the stadium steps alot. I also do Leg press, Squats, Lunges, Deadlifts, Calf raises, Things like that for my leg workouts. Nothing special really. When I run the staidum steps I sometimes switch it up by doing Broad jumps skipping a step each time. I also do 2 feet each step. If I'm doing an insane workout, I grab 5-10lb dumbells and hold them while I'm running the steps.

You sound like a good type for a wrestler, try that sport out. I can max out at 210, though I haven't tried to max in about 6 months.

Keep working. If you keep on working out you'll keep on getting stronger and stronger!

My school doesn't have wrestling If we had it I would definitely do it! Although, I like Martial Arts, and hopefully when i turn 16 I'll be able to compete in MMA.

I've looked into wrestling though, I've actually had a few wrestling buddies come out and actually wrestle. It was fun, but I think I'm more of the aggressive guy who likes to combine it with striking.

Good shit bro!
I have some advice for you and we did it during wrestling conditioning.
Find someone a bit heavier than you and have them on your back as you do stairs.
So much harder, but you feel so much better about yourself once your done.
