I know, But still there should be atlast over 75k players on all the time. I think I will give RS 1 yr before it dies.

In my opinion, RS will never really "Die". There will always be a Runescape it just wont be like it was. There will always be people trying runescape out and liking it. So its sort of a new generation of people starting on Rs. As much as i miss Pre EOC i have adapted and like Rs3.

the game isn't made for one person its made for a evolving society of people to play.
when your done with your time, leave plain and simple.
don't accuse the game of being dead just because you don't like it
find another game to waste you time on.

Runescape has been 'dying' since before I started back in 2007 and it's probably been 'dying' since it's very first update in 2001. The amount of actual players has always been around 20k - 100k since I started. At the moment it seems to be 50k online at peak times but then there's also OSRS which has about 10k - 30k players averaging at about 17k online at peak times and if we're talking about people interested in Runescape most inactive people will still play Runescape just private servers instead possibly around 10k - 25k (just a wild guess statistically 60% of everyone who has ever played RS has played a RSPS).

So really Runescape isn't dying its just the community is split up in to 3 different places.

Runescape may not have 200k players on at once anymore, but with the profits from micro transaction, they can keep Runescape running for a while.

Shame really, It's nowhere near as popular as it used to be.

It's sad to see it go to crap, but honestly, it's just life. I thought I'd never be able to quit at one stage (around 7 years back) - But once you've played for so long and you've seen everything there is to see, you just end up having no motives to log-in anymore.

They tried to bring something new; People missed OldSchool.

They bring back OldSchool; Everybody gets bored.

It'll die sooner or later, and that's that. There are next-gen consoles on the horizon. RuneScape just doesn't compare to anything anymore. It was a game from the 90s which has been transitioned into this day in age. It just doesn't work.

It's sad, but there's nothing we can do to change it. The 'vibe' just isn't there anymore. For me, especially.

Runescape Eco has been dead for quite a while now.

Yeah I just quit today. couldn't handle it anymore. I wonder, at what point does Jagex say, "this is enough, we're ruining the game"?
