its most likely a bad iso or a bad burn.

try clearing cache and do you have a game save?

*You said you made your own mods in certain files. Be sure that the files you modified do not have hash checks in them because this could be causing the loading screen freeze. Also, if you are trying to modify textures, be sure that you saved each texture in the same file type and size (width and height) that the legit file is uing. The gamesave shouldn't have anything to do with it since you arn't even getting to the "The Cousins Bellic" screen so don't worry about the gamesave yet. Some common files that people screw up on are the handling.dat and the default.ide or the gtxd.ide in your case on Original. Be sure that the file size in BYTES stays the same on these. Handling.dat should be 41,386 bytes or you will freeze on the loading screen like that. You also said that you are trying to replace the vehicles.img and the weapons.img so I don't those will be compatible with Original, they will only work with TBoGT. Try making a disc with just the common.rpf, xbox360.rpf, script.img, script_network.img. The car spawns shouldn't be doing anything to your game on the loading screens so you can probably leave those in there unless you are freezing after joining a game. Remember that you cannot put flying cars in open traffic or they will freeze you. If you need any help, feel free to contact me via Skype @ boa_excision*
