Today on 7/30/13 Manning was found not guilty on aiding the enemy by releasing information of the USA government. Many get him confused with Snowden, who did the same thing, but is still in Russia. He was accused of releasing 750,000 pages of classified documents and videos. He was found guilty of most of the remaining charges against him. He could be sentenced to up to 20 years behind bars on some of the other charges. If founded guilty on aiding enemy he could have been in jail for life. So this is good for Manning and hopefully he is only in for a little time.

From what I have been reading, and even from that CNN article, the maximum sentence he would have to serve is 136 years. I hope it doesn't come to that though. Manning is good man. He did it for the people, just as Snowden did. Good thing to hear that he was found not guilty of aiding the enemy though. At least they know what his intentions were.

I think he had good intentions, and shouldn't be convicted.

I'm glad he's not, at least not yet.
