Nowadays it seems people focus too much on bad things someone has done and will not forgive them if they try to turn their life around for example I have seen comments about a youtuber called Kalimuscle who used to be in prison but has turned his life around and is trying to help other people stay out of trouble and guide them onto a better life however because he stripped and done g4p people have commented how they have lost all respect for him and give him abuse for things he did in the past. I feel if a person is trying their hardest to rectify what bad things they did and try to help other people they deserve a second chance its just a shame some people only focus on the bad someone did and not the good things they're trying to do.

My brother has to put up with this in sixth form. He hasn't had the best of a childhood and he only wanted to fit in. And because of this people judge him today because of what he was like. Its quite heartbreaking. He was the kid that nobody wanted to speak to, play with or do anything with, one day he wanted to fit in and didn't. And still can't today because of people looking back on what he has done.

It depends on what they did.
If they murdered someone with an axe, it's going to take a while for me to start respecting them...
Then again, I don't know any ex-cons.

It just really depends on the scenario in which whether or not I'll judge them.
It would really depend on the person as well.

Some actions, like murder and rape are virtually unforgivable to me, and I can not truly bring myself to completely respect a person who has made those decisions. Sure, most people should be given a second chance provided that they have proven that they have learned from their mistakes. With that being said, I believe that if someone decides to do something stupid, then they should know about all of the repercussions it will have on them, including social repercussions.

Yeah just look at Paula Dean for an example.
