I'm looking to create an AMD based computer, based around the processor below.
Processor: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- The processor uses and AM3+ PGA, so I know I'd need a motherboard of the same socket. UEFI BIOS would be the preference.
- 16GB of RAM would also be preferred, but due to budget, 8GB may be more realistic.
Video Card: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- This would be the preference for a video card.

Anything aside from what I've written above is what I'm up for suggestions for. Thanks in advanced for all the help!

Any reason as to why you want an AMD system? What do you want to accomplish with the computer - is it for gaming?

What sort of budget did you have in mind for the build in total? AMD is great for lower end budgets and even for high end gaming rigs that would use more of the cores AMD offer.

My PC would be for gaming. My budget is $800, and i'm using AMD to be able to spend more on the video card. The cheap CPU offering 8 cores is quite appealing

Compulsorily wrote Good luck on building it!

Thanks It will be an easy build, given I'm a computer tech. I'm looking for 3rd party opinions on ideas for components.

It'll be for gaming. Right now, I'm playing Diablo 3, but in the future I'll be playing more intense games (Watch Dogs, GTA V, ect)

No problemo. I went for the black themed board and Ram on that and the mobo is overclockable with that cooler too so its pretty well balanced for my liking.
