I have seen too much of this lately.
Bumping topics is when the topic author or other replies to the topic to get it back up to the top of the section.
_______________________________________________
Examples of this are:
Bumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbump
BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP
_______________________________________________
As it also says in the rules, this is strictly NOT allowed.
Some users say "Sorry, I needed that" at the end.
When users say "I needed that" they don't need it at all.
Sometimes, people get friends to do this with them.
It is different if a user says something with good information to help it get a little bigger.

Rarely, users bump their topics to make it a popular thread, so more people look.
Doing this will result in punishment by site staff.

If you don't get the point of what I'm saying, I am trying to tell everyone who has bumped a topic to stop.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is also listed in the site rules.
I just decided I needed to make a thread to make it clear.
Thanks for your attention.

some people are too lazy to read the rules, and/or they believe they can do what they want. people who clearly state imbumping my topic I put on a different level than those who make a reasonable post that does intentionally bump their topic without making it seem like they are.

I'm alright if they have a popular post going and it starts to drop into the forums and they say something in the comments that is filled with good information.. I also believe it should only be done once other wise it will just get annoying.

I can see bumping being like Okay after say 7 hours after nobody had posted, but 7 minutes is a bit extreme.

I have seen posts before that are bumped 8 times in 5 minutes, using this as an example would be annoying. If someone bumps after 24 hours or a long-ish period of time I would suppose it would be okay.
