It's not bad, but there are a few improvements that can be made.
Firstly, I think it would look a lot better without the text. It's a bad choice of font, but I think smudge sigs always look better without text anyway.
Your lighting is also off, you can see that the left side of his face is light, you should use this as an indicator of where the source of light should be, but you put it on the other side of his face.
Also, the boarder is a bit thick, I would say keep it about 2px.
Finally, the smudge is not great, but that's something that will come with practice, look up some more tutorials and try different techniques and you will find one that works best for you.
With all that said, keep it up.
