MontyPython wrote Okay, what i mean is, should i discontinue talking/associating with my family when i move away. Because i'm what you may consider a "Black sheep." A couple of examples are; When i was 14, i was at a family cookout, and my cousin Damon (Who is in his 30s) was drunk, and pissed at me for some reason. And, get this. I barley talk to him, at ALL beforehand. So it's me, my dad, and Damon. In a room, and Damon, out of some fit of rage, Leaps towards me, and grabs my by my neck. Choking me. Me doing whatever i could to try to get him off me. And him being stronger than me by far. Kept choking me, till the point i was getting really pale, and i felt like i was gonna collapse. While my dad sits there, on his phone, texting. Then my dad finally says "Come on Damon, get off the little *****." So Damon Does. And they both walk away. Now my dad at the time was sober. And, this is just a small part of what my family does to me. I could go on and on about what they do, but i wouldn't want you to get tired of reading that much. So, should i discontinue talking to my family as soon as i move?

Your choice just remember they still love you ...

Not sure what you class as love but that sure ain't it if you have to stay in contact stay in contact with your mum

Personally, I wouldn't because either way you look at it, they're still family, never turn your back on family, even when they turn theirs on you.

maybe you should hit up the gym, and do dome boxing or learn some MMA, and learn how to defend yourself... (I dont mean this in a degrading way).
A solid punch to the nose will change anyones attitude. And If I were you i would hit him in the nose as hard as i could the first time he did anything like that, and dont just hit him once... Make sure he can barely get up off the floor. I guarantee the BS will stop there.

Lol that is from Fast and Furious 6, not saying you stole it, but Vin Diesel says that line.

To be honest if it was me in that situation, then yes I would blank them out if my life completely, and one day go back and I would not be responsible for my actions. But dide it's up to you weather you want to forgive them or not, and depending on if they were sorry about why they did in the past. Good luck with moving out btw.
