Everytime I animate a scene, that uses more advanced lighting or GI, it renders out, but then windows is unable to play the file. I just spent seven hours rendering a scene that was about 700 frames. The file size as about 2.3 gb. Then when I go to play windows couldn't play it. This has happened multiple times when I use global illumination too.. Has anyone had this happen or know how to fix it?

when you say "Windows" can't play it... do you mean the OS, or the media player.... please be specific. Also, check your settings and file format. If possible take screenshots of your settings and we can help you more.

Don't worry, I know exactly on your on about. I had the same problem, easy fix.

On your render settings, make sure your using the Intel IYUV setting if your exporting to AVI (I think thats what its called).

let me know if that helps!
