Posted this on the PS4 forums, no one replied, I don't think they were happy that I wasn't following the mob mentality of people switching to the PS4 and saying "HAHA XDONE AND XBONE FFAIL KENCT!!"
Anyways, this is why I'm getting both consoles.
As you can see by my name I love Microsoft, Sony, and I'm a PC gamer. I have the PS1, OG Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360 and PS3. In high school people always wanted to argue and take sides..but I liked both. And I'm not a follower who follows the popular opinion. So here are some reasons why I like both consoles.
PS4:
- $400(I paid $600 for my PS3 so saving money is good!)
- All the Playstation exclusives we all love.
- PS+ and free games, although most of the games are pretty bad to me...but hey they're free.
- The touchpad on the controller.
- The game sharing button thing.
- I can sell my used games to whoever.
- I can just lend my friend a disc.
- The new interface
Xbox One
- In my opinion it has better exclusives announced.
- I've always thought playstation controllers were real light and cheap feeling. I remember picking up my first Xbox controller and loving how it wasn't too heavy or too light.
- Snap feature, being able to go from watching netflix back into a game in the snap of a finger is pretty cool.
- Family circle, You can share games with any of the 10 friends you choose, anywhere in the world. You can also both play the game at the same time. Being able to just give a person a disk is easy and everything, but this feature is real cool. My dad is a gamer but he doesn't go out and spend money on games as much as he use to. Since I'm in college now he doesn't really buy games. It's going to be cool to buy a game, call him up, and tell him to play it with me.
- I like most of the xbox exclusives, but that's just personal opinion.
Anyways, this is why I'm getting both consoles.

I don't think getting both is worth it and to enjoy both, it would cost a lot of extra money unfortunately.

All of us would get both if we had nearly 1 grand to drop, but we don't. That's why we have to decide for ourselves which one we prefer, and buy it.

well if you really wanna drop 1k on damn gaming systems go ahead. I know this is a gaming website and im a part of it, but i would NOT spend that much money on video gaming.

Xbox has Halo, thats one of the main reasons, but also because i'd like to try something new, still continue to play with the same friends from the 360, and overall just have an awesome time, this will probably be one of the last consoles i play before I'm done.

If you have the money, go ahead. I personally am debating on when I'm going to buy another console. I work 50 hours a week and I need 5,000 as fast as possible so I can buy an Audi.

Here is why i'm getting both the PS4 & Xbox One:
PS4:
1. Driveclub
2. Super HD & 3D Netflix movies
3. The ability to play games while others are downloading
Xbox One:
1. Forza 5
2. The ability to watch movies while you're waiting to join a game.
