I have a theory that through all of the DLC sharing that we did this generation, through all of the license transfers, all of the playing burned games, all of the hours of sitting on a friends account downloading content that we didn't pay for, we almost forced Microsoft into implementing such strict anti piracy measures. We almost gave them no choice. I'm not defending them, i think they shot themselves in the foot, but you have to see where they're coming from. From a business standpoint, they need to make teh monies, and i'd be willing to bet that through all of the "Marketplace Theft" issues that Microsoft has had to deal with, they've lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions.

Just wondering if anyone shares my theory lol.

Well now that you put it like that, what they did makes sense.

I don't share games or steal from them in any way but it makes sense as to why they've done it now.

Good job MS.

Not all of us did these things though, so why punish many for the actions of few?

Not all of us abused the embed image feature on here either but we all suffered, what's the difference?

Saves them the time of having to ban each individual person, now you just can't period.

Not only Microsoft, same with most of the developers/publishers and Sony.
