Yes it would, however that graphics card may be overkill for what you actually need. Did you want to build the system yourself, because if you did we could suggest a build and you'd likely save money.

Its not major overkill admittedly, but you can run BF3 on a slightly lower model card like the 7870, 7850 or GTX660.

Well if you intend to use a computer for gaming, and a 7870 could handle it, then you'd be wasting money by buying a more expensive card needlessly. If you had the money and wanted the more expensive one regardless then go for it.

I don't believe you can 'overkill' a GPU, he hasn't told us what level of graphics he wants to play in !! That card will do great for playing BF3 in Ultra etc. and will be able to handle next gen games.

The question is what's your PSU (Power supply unit) Wattage ? You need to make sure your PSU can handle everything (Process GPU etc) first before you go out and buy it and be sure to get a over a 600 watt PSU as you may want to upgrade in the upcoming years, Also by the looks of your spec it seems you are wanting to play some top end games in High settings but i thinking you're spending to much on your system as it stands now, I spent just under 350 for my system and it runs nearly every game in High settings at a steady 40-80 FPS sometimes higher . Just make sure you're not wasting money on unnecessary components and it suits your needs. P.S need any more help feel free to message me.

The point im getting at, is that my GTX660 plays BF3 on ultra and its considerably less. I was pointing that out to OP, if he wants it anyway and can afford it case closed...im just making him aware that you don't need to buy the best to get the best. more money doesnt always equal better performance.
