I would not want to live for ever, death is inevitable.

Also think about it... You would have to sit and watch your friends and loved ones grow old/die. I would not want that.

Being immortal is a terrible idea.

You would be forced to watch the worlds downfall.
The world has an expiration date.

Sure, "space colonies etc etc"
But what if we don't have those in time?

They'll have space colonies in less than 5,000 years time, I'm almost certain. Though, there's no guarantee.

We will be out of all resources in less than 5000 years time.
Mars has is almost pure iron I believe, in 5000 years i'm pretty sure we'er farming space.

I wouldn't just imagine how much you would lose (ex. mom, dad, siblings and multiple wives) not to mention you would get bored.

Living forever is probably the worst kind of mental torture there is.

No moving on, no closure, and not to mention there would be overpopulation.

So no i would not wan't to live forever.

Curiosity of the future makes me say yes, I would like to live forever.
I would prefer if it were the same immortality as that of Elves from The Lord of The Rings, who live until they choose they want to die or can't take living any more.

Nerd time over.
