this is going to be my first time building a pc. I would like to know if this would be a good build for a gaming pc and if these parts are compatible. if you have any advice for me or know any better components around the same price range please tell me

So your budget is around 470GBP then?

What about that? Its a considerable saving buying the Phenom over the newer AMD APU, and i don't see the point in getting an APU if you would be buying a graphics card anyway. I left the case, ram, and storage the same. But the GPU is much newer and the PSU will support it, and i believe that CPU can handle it too.

I added the cooler onto it aswell, because the Phenoms are good overclockers to bring them up to spec with some newer cpu's.

Thanks that looks like a good build for my budget.
