Replacing a chip or anything really on a laptop is not always the best solution i highly suggest you look into buying a new laptop or taking it to a local pc store to get them to take a look first.

You need to make sure the laptop has a changeable CPU.

Don't do it yourself - take it to a shop. If the CPU is soldered to the motherboard and you try to take it off, you could break the whole laptop.

You're wasting your time with this. I suggest just getting a new laptop. It's not worth the cost of labor and what-not most likely.
