What is a Hail Mary in Halo 4? I simply threw a grenade, and don't think I killed anyone when it was announced on screen. You know, the little icon that is similar to when you get a headshot, or what have you?

Correction, it's when you throw a plasma grenade a long distance and it sticks to them.

Correction, it's when you throw a plasma grenade a long distance and it sticks to them.
correction, it doesn't have to be a plasma grenade you can do it with frags it is just from a long distance.

Yes, I do not think that it is grenade type specific because I received the "Hail Mary" when I was equipped with a frag grenade at the time.

A hail mary is when you throw a grenade across the map and kill someone. Most of the time you never get one though. Really lucky.

It's when you get a long distance grenade throw. It's really hard to do, IMO.

You receive a Hail Mary in Halo 4 by throwing a projectile/grenade a certain distance to kill someone.
It relates to the football's "Hail Mary" where the quarterback just throws the ball high and far across the field, hoping that a teammate will catch it.
