My setup is xbox 360 with ethernet cord to one laptop and then the jtag is connect with ethernet cord to my 2nd laptop.

Are both consoles on the same TU? That is what happens on Halo Reach whenever the host is not on the same TU as the other xbox.

Like mentioned about, make sure they're both the same Title Update. I would make sure my JTAG has the updated Kernel, .203.

If you're running internet Sharing, make sure your Firewalls are off on both you laptops. Your method may not work if they create too much latency, too.

Yeah thanks for reply and help . Yeah they are both on same TU, my retail would find the jtag in system link but wasnt able to connect to the host. I tried doing everything and port forwarding with that first setup. I ended up making it work by connecting the jtag directly to router downstairs and a slim xbox 360 to wifi. But now I have to run up and down the stairs between tvs lol.
