ITG wrote cool, but not a good idea. Mankind wouldn't last as long though, because of the limit of population of the earth. We would use all of the biotic and abiotic factors too immensly if we were to become immortal or live much much longer.... just my opinion

Yeah it would be very cool, but then it would suck. Living forever is like everyones dreams, if it happens though to everyone, we will run out of room on Earth and the supplies Earth has to provide us with. then most of us would die in the end...

Have a Look at the other Posts(Not being Cheeky!) There are alternative things being made.. like an "New" O2 Atom that if injected, can Live for 30 mins without normal O2!!! And by the time this is available, there will be MUCH More!

Overpopulation should not be a concern here. For example, if a cure for aging were engineered, it would take at least 20 years from present day to simply produce enough experiments to get it approved for testing by the FDA. FDA testing has three or four different stages that take a total of 12 years to successfully ready a new drug for mainstream production and sales. After that, considering that many large pharmaceutical companies will immediately purchase this new formula to sell to the general public, I will be at least 50-60 to benefit from the anti-aging drug (I am currently 21). At this time it is the year 2050. Now, to give or take around 50 years (at minimum) for the world to have a chance to become extremely overpopulated from this onset on non-aging individuals, do you not think that we will not be settled on Mars (or at least the moon), or have invented measures to handle the overpopulation?
