Of course it will be shut down, eventually.
As Halo4 said, it took ages for the original Xbox servers to be shut down as a lot of people carried on playing that console after the 360 was released. This will be the same when the new Xbox is released because a lot of people will carry on playing the 360.
Plus it's not as simple as just shutting off the servers, they probably all have to be decommissioned and with a service as large as Xbox Live it will take some time.

It took them so long to turn off the original Xbox servers. I remember playing project gothen racing 2 online with people who had Xbox Og when I was on my 360. I think they are going to shut it down but not any time soon. I'd give it a couple years.

I'm guessing the servers will be up for awhile after the next generation console is released.

They most likely will shut the server down after a couple of years like they did with the original xbox server
