My iphone doesn't have much memory as i didn't realise the contract i took out gave me an iphone with small memory lol..

And "Other" takes up nearly 2 gig?

Do you know what it is and how i can free it up

1. Clear all history and cookies

2. If you are jailbroken, then unjailbreak if freeing memory is you number one priority.

Hope I helped.

If your iPhone is jailbroken that is most of the "other" memory but if it isn't then the other memory is things like texts and cookies and data in safari.

Be very careful that you dont update if you do this though because it latest firmware is not jailbreakable.

There is a jailbreak tweak called iCleaner which clears up a lot of free memory but if your not jailbroken then you should just backup and restore.
