Title says it all, just want to know which GPU is best overall, the 7970 ap[pears to be more powerful, but I hear the Nividia cards play better on most games because of drivers.
So I'm not sure what card to get :L Any help ?

If you can afford it go with the 7970, some play better on different cards but nvidia aren't necessarily superior in terms of drivers.

Either card is a good choice but I would go for the 7970. It comes with 2 or 3 free games.

I have the 7970 so obviously I would recommend it. But both are extremely good.
Good luck choosing.

The 7970 - but get a GHz edition.
Make sure it has better than average cooling as it's a very hot card (on load around 85 degrees).
Make sure you have ample power on your PSU - over volted the 7970 chomps away on electric. I'd recommend at least an 800W PSU if you're using an overclocked CPU too. 850W would be the sweet spot - bit more breathing room.
If you're going to be doing heavy rendering tasks using Adobe Software, then the 670 may be the better choice - ONLY if you're doing heavy rendering tasks though. The 7970 overclocks much much better and is overall the better card. Easily max out any game 1080P, some even at 1440p.

Easily as long as it's a decent PSU, 850w is overkill even if you're overclocking.

If you already have a half decent 750W PSU it will be ample. I only recommended getting a 850W PSU simply because it's better to have more than just enough - give's you some space for extra hard drives etc in the future.
tl:dr Yes.
