Hey guys

My laptop broke and I figured to go out and get e things to make my own PC, I was just wondering a couple things..

How much would a good PC cost to build?
How long would it take to build it?
Is it difficult to build?

If anyone could help me out that would be great thanks!

It is easier then people think, Everything is stright forward and if you get stuck on anything there are plenty of youtube videos to help you. A good pc IMO i think is from $500-Whatever.

It's really not hard to put a PC together. Just know where everything goes and take your time. The price varies depending on your components. Speak to r00t and he'll put you in the right direction.

Good luck!

I've jut built one. I can run most games on ultra, but some of the newer ones have to be turned down a bit. In the end I spent 450 ish.

But;

I got a more expensive case because of the look of it.
I got a more expensive motherboard because it was the cheapest I could find with SPDIF out.

You could easily pay less, but you could also pay much more.

Forgot to state how easy/hard it is.

It's really very easy - and I'm not bragging or anything, it really was. But I didn't have a large amount of components in mine; the more you have the trickier it can be - trying to find new ways to cables to different places, finding components that work together etc.

Just take your time and check out Thor's thread in the PC support section.

Anyone is capable of doing it.

Good luck!

I was in the same position as you a little while back. I was terrified of building a PC I almost wasted $1100 bucks on CyberPower for having a pre-built shipped to me. But I ended up canceling the order because when I started searching up multiple tutorials on how to build a PC, after awhile it was all clear as day.

I know every says this but it's pretty much just like Legos...just really, really expensive Legos. But each component goes into a socket. If you have compatible parts of course.

The only daunting part about building a PC is Cable Management, but once you get going it's pretty simple. But by far the most annoying thing about building a PC is the front panel connectors, unless you have a Asus Mobo and it has a Q connector which makes thing SO easy.

Anyways, enough rambling, if I haven't been clear enough, it's just easy, you just need to take your time and everything will go smoothly.

tl;dr Have time, put one component into the socket.
