I hate it when people hold their phones in portrait mode, or vertically, when they are recording video. It's so annoying, as when it is recorded vertically, there are black bars bigger than the actual video on both sides. It is such a fail to record video vertically, and there's no benefit to doing that. All these smartphones now have HD 720p and 1080p video, but most people don't even record in HD because their phone is titled vertically. In the end, you have a video that looks like this:

Compare that to a phone that is tilted the correct way (horizontally) while recording,

People, learn to tilt your phones sideways when recording video!

They might have a better grip vertically than horizontally

Doesn't matter, the video still looks like crap. Besides, it is still possible to hold your phone with one hand while recording horizontally.

I don't see why anyone would record vertically anyway? And as you stated the video clearly looks much better horizontally.

Ok really, this is just a pointless rant. I feel like you did this just to get your post count higher. If they want to record like that, then let them.

But why? It makes the video look a whole lot worse, and you can't even see 2/3rds of the things that are going on in the video.

Just as your post was a useless post. I feel you commented this to get your post count higher.

OP: Yes, it is so agitating when I see people who record like that. I Mean Really!? Can you not turn your phone 90 degrees to record horizontally?
