If you have 1 post , who knows, you might be "one of those" members who will just decide to spam and post stupid stuff.
Atleast at 10,000 posts you're for sure not going to post like a idiot and break the rules.

Pretty much this.

Anything over 1k is probably trustworthy.

That's why I don't get on TTG very much anymore. Just because I only have 250+ post apparently means I can't attempt to help someone out with out being bashed
But I still enjoy TTG and some of its users

All of us were there once, that doesn't mean you can't help people.

As long as you know what you're talking about or are at least capable of using Google you can help anyone.

If you're wrong well OK, just learn from it and keep going.

That is 100% true. However I just wish people would lessen the bagging on newer members.

Its just new members have a bad rep because of all the scammers and everything, in a way its like you have to earn the trust and respect of other members by the content you post and share with the site.
Post and rep dont mean much unless your like one of those members with tons of posts like 10k because those type of members wont risk everything they have done for thew site just to scam or do something stupid. You understand what im saying?

well REP is one of those things that does / doesn't matter.

in a way, if a member has above their average rep for their post, they ARE a helpful member.

Also, as stealth and inuyasha555 stated, people WILL make accounts on here for the sake of advertising / scamming.

I can understand where you're coming from though. A member with 100 more posts is treated more?

I have not been teased on my rep/posts but I see many people around me that have. I just though I'd make a topic to see what others think about it.

I agree. I do trust people with higher rep and posts more than people with less. But that's natural. I wouldn't treat someone differently over it unless I was paying them for a lobby... I wouldn't trust a new user... They have nothing to lose so they would scam more often.

Gossip wrote "rep and posts are a good sign of trust/respect"
SO...your basically saying your an untrusted member lol

All I ever see is you trying to undermine other people on this site. Maybe, instead of trying to gain thumbs up, look at what he's trying to say. He was clearly saying that he knows that most users with a high post count and/or reputation tend to be the most trustworthy and helpful people on the site, but that doesn't mean that those with a low post count and/or reputation aren't helpful or trustworthy...and that they shouldn't be judged for it.

OT: I agree with this. As long as a user isn't spamming the forums and is making useful posts who cares about how many posts they have.

However, if they have been on the site for a long period of time and have a low post count and reputation they may be just coming on the site to leech for lobbies.
