Could this be a problem for making an iso?

It probably won't be a big problem. If you us AWS, it will use All Write Speeds (obviously) and that will actually go faster than setting any certain settings.

Just the other day I was burning a modded iso and the guy said to use 2.4x. An error popped up and said it had to use 3.0x and not 2.4x. That disc ended up failing at 54%. So we did another one at AWS and it finished in a shorter amount of time with no errors at all.

AWS is a burning speed. It means All Write Speeds. Meaning it will burn the disc at whatever speeds it can.
