Ok, so for Christmas I got the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 X-Ray turtle beach headset. I hooked it up to my Xbox and then the next day I unplugged it all, so that my friend and I could just use the TV's audio, but we couldn't hear anything. Then we tried to unplug the HDMI and try my grey component cable on the HD setting and it worked, but I forgot it was plugged in and I put my headset back in the next day. Now I have my regular black component cable in and it works, but it looks terrible on the TV. I called Xbox and they seem to think that it is broke, but I don't think so. I have checked the audio output settings over and over and everything looks fine, the headset is totally unplugged, so that can't be it, and I have tried it on other TV's and it still won't work with the HDMI cord. It's like the headset messed up the audio output for the cord that was plugged in. I have also tried multiple different component cables and HDMI cords, but still no sound. Does anybody have any clue what to do? It would be much appreciated if you could help.

Thanks Guys!

After the hdmi cord is in make sure that you don't have any component cable in and change the sound settings on the xbox and maybe also try to changing tv sound settings.
